Autumn has arrived and the equinox at the weekend brought rain and gales – so it’s definitely goodbye to summer.
I am aware of the influence that the changing seasons have on me, particularly at this time of the year as the evenings are drawing in and it’s getting chillier. It’s a perfect time to start thinking about new knitting projects and for knitting warm and comforting clothes.
There will be some new patterns for you to buy very shortly…
And just a reminder that I shall be teaching a Folk Patterned Socks workshop in November – hand knitted, woolen socks are a must at this time of year!
I’ve been on holiday for the last week – camping in Dorset, Dartmoor and Cornwall.
It was lovely…
when and where will you be instructing esp for the woolen socks . kindly tell us which weight you used above.. thank you.
I’ll be teaching a ‘Folk Patterned Socks’ workshop here in the UK at West Dean College on Thursday 15th November – there may still be places left!
The socks in the photo are knitted in Ullcentrum’s sportweight 2 Thread wool yarn – it is a great yarn and makes beautiful socks.
Hope that helps!
