Folk art and folk craft are a constant source of inspiration for me and I particularly like ceramics as well as textiles, and thought you might like to see these.
This pottery woman is both a money box and a candle stick and was made in Central Slovakia in about 1850,
as was this handsome hand-painted pottery jug.
This is a lovely detail of an embroidered Slovakian ‘Sunday Best’ dress sleeve, from about 1925.
