Designs and Patterns from Muhu Island is such a lovely book!
It is satisfyingly large and weighty and explores the needle work traditions from Estonia and Muhu Island in particular.
Full of detailed photos of socks, stockings, mittens, gloves, aprons, slippers, blankets, bridal crowns, skirts, belts and much more besides, it is a real gem and I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in textiles – you won’t be disappointed.
You can buy it from here
Many thanks to Miriam for the link and to Annette for a great service.
