The first days of Spring are here at last and as it is the Spring Equinox next week, we can definitely say goodbye to the dark days of winter.

This illustration is by John Burningham – his magical children’s books are particular favourites of mine.

In celebration of the new season I have some new patterns in my shop for you to knit – Miss Bella Bun is a re-incarnation of Bella Bun from And So To Bed…, however, she now has a little bunch of flowers to carry and a pretty new outfit.

Tweetie Bird is a lovely, quick and easy decoration to knit for a babies cot, or a cute toy for a small child, or even a lavender filled gift for the grown ups in your life.

The Blomma Socks are an ideal project to get started on at this time of the year – it is still chilly in the mornings and evenings and nothing will keep your feet cosier than pure wool socks…

Hi Lucinda, since I have all your books I have made a lott of your beautiful things. I just bought the book of knitting around the world. A few months ago I bought a beautiful book at a store in Amsterdam , de Afstap , . Designs and patterns from muhu island, a needlework tradition from Estonia. Almost 400 pages with great embroidery and fair isle knitting. I really think you like it. Next project I want to make is the fox. A lot of greetings, bye. ..Miriam.
