I made it to Wonderwool Wales where it was a pleasure to see such a variety of wool – and it was very good to see Blacker Yarns (particularly the Welsh wools!), baaramewe with their Titus yarn, Sasha Kagan (here is a link to one of her free sock patterns) and Midwinter Yarns.
It was especially exciting to see Midwinter Yarns as they are a brand new on line company selling gourgeous Scandinavian yarns including the very wonderful Ullcentrum (which I used in both Northern Knits and Northern Knits Gifts). They are also selling the extraordinary Finnish yarn Pirkka-Lanka (there are 82 shades available apparently!) – I have only ever seen them in Finland, so I’m very pleased that they are now easily available over here.
The photo is of a very handsome Welsh Mountain ram …
